Pinball is part of a healthy life, and it’s now time for a good dose of Charlie Brown for Pinball FX! I’ve reviewed many pinball tables for the different pinball platforms that Zen Studios has offered over the years, with the most recent ones being Pinball M and Pinball FX. On that note, it’s now the turn for A Charlie Brown Christmas Pinball on PlayStation 5! As you can tell from its name, this one brings us the classic Charlie Brown animated film from 1965 – yes, it’s really been that long! – and gives it a pinball spin.
Charlie Brown is not being very festive. Something certainly feels off for him, and it seems he’s not in the mood for Christmas… at all! He believes it’s all about material things. Because of this, your journey will have you finding the real meaning of Christmas alongside the Peanuts gang as you play around and work on decorating the best Christmas tree ever! To do this, you’ll have to send many, many balls into play as you rack up some points, work on combos, and activate the different modes. Oh, and you’ll also have to work on directing a play!
What are the different game modes you can activate? There’s Choose a Christmas Tree, in which, as the name suggests, you’ll be tasked with collecting 20 trees by sending the ball over the lanes with colored and little trees. In Eat Snowflakes, you must shoot the snowflakes that fall from the sky before they melt away and turn into water. Build a Snowman requires that you fatten up the snowball on the right by using the spinner to build all three snowman parts. Let’s Skate will make 5 lanes light up, and you’ll have to skate through the ice rink by shooting at them. For Snoopy’s Snack, you must shoot Snoopy’s bowl as many times as possible to make the bone bounce into his hand.
Unlike some of the previous pinball tables and pinball packs released for Pinball FX, A Charlie Brown Christmas Pinball is part of the Additional Tables #1 DLC trophy list. Thanks to this, you can work on adding one more trophy to your collection. Your task will be to start Wizard Mode for this particular pinball table, which will require some extra practice as you complete each of the different modes for A Charlie Brown Christmas Pinball. You can check which tables provide additional trophies to your collection by looking for the trophy icon on your table collection.
A Charlie Brown Christmas Pinball brings us a new take on the beloved animated classic. As you hit the ball over the table, you’ll be working on decorating the best Christmas tree ever, building a snowman, eating snowflakes, and even directing a play! A Charlie Brown Christmas Pinball is available for Pinball FX at a $5.49 price tag. There’s also the option of taking this table for a spin as part of the Pinball FX Pinball Pass, either with a 30-day monthly pass for 150 Pinball Coins – which retails for $14.99 – or with a one-year pass for 1,200 Pinball Coins – which retails for $99.99. The Pinball Pass will also give you access to dozens of other tables, so if you’re a pinball fan, it’s certainly great value.
