Top New Games Added To PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue

Welcome to PlayStation Plus, your gateway to many new games every month. And for those who enjoy the thrill of Bitcoin pokies, discover the top options in our detailed review. Whether you’re seeking entertainment or the chance to win real money, there’s something for everyone.

In this article, we’ll show you the latest games, covering fun stuff like action, RPGs, and puzzles. Whether you’re into fighting bad guys or solving mysteries, PlayStation Plus has something you’ll love. Stick with us as we highlight the newest classic games you can play right now.

PS Plus Essential

Essential, the most basic PS Plus grade, is essentially the same as Plus before its redesign in 2022. The level at which you can access the vast majority of online games, as well as a small number of free games each month.

You may download games once and keep them for as long as your PS Plus subscription is active. It’s not like you play them for a month, and then new ones come out four weeks later. The free games you downloaded will be available to you when you renew your subscription, even if your subscription ends.

Immortals of Aveum is the most important title in April’s Essential selections. The first-person fantasy shooter was launched in the summer of 2023, but it was largely overshadowed by games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Armored Core 6. If Electronic Arts gives the game up for free on PS Plus, maybe more people will play it and see what all the fuss is about.

April’s Essential Releases and PS Plus Benefits

Essential will also have Minecraft Legends and Immortals of Aveum. Taking place outside of the expansive sandbox, Minecraft Legends pits you and your friends against other groups to protect your village. This is an extension of the best-selling game in history. The Essential releases for April are completed by Skul: The Hero Slayer. If you enjoy roguelikes, you shouldn’t miss this lesser-known game among the three.

In case that is not enough, PS Plus members can also receive a special package with Overwatch 2. You get seven legendary skins, five battle pass tier skips, the legendary Beekeeper Sigma, and the legendary Art Deco Symmetra in the Mega Bundle. PS Plus Essential is the cheapest of the three tiers of subscription. It is a nice plan to have some fun and enjoy the newest game in the space.

PS Plus Extra

PS Plus Extra offers a wide range of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles. Just like Xbox Game Pass, Extra receives monthly updates, introducing new games and rotating others. In April, twelve exciting additions are coming to the Extra Library. Check out the details below for the latest lineup of games:

  1. All PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles are accessible to PS Plus Extra subscribers, akin to Xbox Game Pass, with monthly additions and rotations similar to its Xbox counterpart.
  2. In April, twelve new games, a larger number compared to previous months, have been introduced to the Extra library.
  3. Leading the lineup is “Dave the Diver,” a contender for the 2023 Game of the Year, making its PlayStation debut on April 16th for Extra subscribers and above, at no additional charge.
  4. Additionally, Extra subscribers will enjoy a day one release, a growing trend for PS Plus, with “Tales of Kenzera: Zau” available starting April 23rd.
  5. On April 16th, all new content, including “Dave the Diver,” will be incorporated into the Extra collection, along with titles like “The Crew 2,” “Deliver Us Mars,” two Lego games, and ten more, providing an extensive selection for subscribers.

PS Plus Premium

The exclusive content for Premium this month has been impacted by Extra’s banner month. In addition to the Premium library, all of the content in the Extra library is available to Premium subscribers. Just three games, all major classics dating back to the PlayStation 1, will be added in April.

PlayStation Plus Premium is offering a chance to revisit the long-running series’ vault, regardless of whether you enjoy or dislike the new Alone In The Dark. April 16 marks the arrival of Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare on Premium. Also released on the same day is Rebel Assault 2, a throwback Star Wars game. I will be a subscriber by Star Wars Day.

Finally, MediEvil rounds off this month’s Premium additions. Note that this is the original version, not the remaster, of this PS1 classic. Due to the lacklustre reception of the 2019 remake, PlayStation is offering Premium subscribers the opportunity to relive the original game.

Final Thoughts

So, that’s a wrap on the latest additions to PlayStation Plus! With a bunch of new games every month, there’s always something fresh to enjoy. From action-packed adventures to brain-teasing puzzles, there’s a game for everyone. The newest additions are all top-quality games designed to spice your experience with PlayStation Plus.
