You can now make games in your Steam Library private so nobody can see them – WGB

The latest Steam update is out of beta and available to everyone. Aside from some improvements to the shopping cart feature, the new update contains something very useful indeed: the ability to hide games from prying eyes.

Look, we all have a few games we probably would rather our friends couldn’t see, whether its just an embarrassingly shitty title or something a little more…er, raunchy. I ain’t judging, mostly because I have a few raunchy games myself and don’t fear admitting it.

Well, the newest update means you can now mark games in your Steam Library as Private, meaning they won’t be visible to anyone. Prior to this, the only thing you could do hide your entire collection, a surefire way to make all your pals convinced that you’re into some crazy stuff. And they’d be right.

The update also allows you to mark games and apps as private during the purchasing process, keeping them hidden from the very start. Now nobody needs to know your particular brand of perversion! Hurrah!

The update also adds in a new way to gift multiple people a game at the same time, and an improved basked that will sync across desktop, Steam Deck and mobile.
