I am entirely new to this, but I want to participate in a game jam. I have time on my hand, and I want to learn. The theme of the jam in Growth and I have two weeks to do it. I am primarily a writer, artist, and musician. I wanna go into game design, but my coding skills are low.
Here are my two ideas. One is like a cleaning simulator. There are overgrown graves, and you clean the graves to learn about the person’s life.
The second is where you are packing up a house getting ready to move. After each level, you see a tick on the door is drawn (a kids height) and it is a story driven game on growing up. By the end, they paint over the ticks and move out.
Which game idea is easier, and what is an outline to code this? I’ll look up any tutorials I need, but an outline would really help!
I want to learn this in Unity unless there is a simple option.
