Sony has revealed April’s PlayStation Plus Essential games

Sony has announced April 2024’s PlayStation Plus Essential games.

April’s PlayStation Plus titles will be Immortals of Aveum (PS5), Minecraft Legends (PS4, PS5) and Skul: The Hero Slayer (PS4).

PlayStation Plus members will be able to claim the games from April 2 until May 6.

The Overwatch 2 Mega Bundle will also be free to PlayStation Plus members for a limited time.

It will include Legendary Beekeeper Sigma, Legendary Art Deco Symmetra, seven Epic Skins, and five Battle Pass Tier Skips.

Essential is the entry-level PlayStation Plus membership tier, which offers subscribers access to a few ‘free’ games every month.

March’s PlayStation Plus Essential titles are EA Sports F1 23 (PS5, PS4), Sifu (PS5, PS4), Hello Neighbor 2 (PS5, PS4) and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen (PS4, PS5).

The service’s more expensive Extra and Premium tiers offer subscribers access to the Game Catalogue, a library of up to 400 downloadable PS4 and PS5 games, as well as Ubisoft+ Classics, a curated selection of titles from the Assassin’s Creed publisher.

Features reserved for Premium subscribers include game trials, cloud streaming, and access to the Classics Catalogue, which includes hundreds of games from the original PlayStation, PS2, PS3 and PSP.

The apparent specs for the as-yet unannounced PS5 Pro console were recently shared online ahead of an anticipated late 2024 launch.

It was also reported that Sony has paused production of PlayStation VR2, just one year after launch, so it can deal with a backlog of unsold units.
