Palworld is the game that took 2024 by strong, breaking Stream concurrent records within a month of its release, with players joining in from all over the world. Since its first month, the hype has died down a bit, however, they are still managing pretty well, bringing in more than 40,000 players in the last 24 hours at the time of writing. To bring in more players you need more content, and Pocket Pair has done absolutely that, as they recently announced an update that will bring new Pals to the game.
Palworld will add new Pals and weapons in next update
Pocket Pair and Palworld were present at the IGN x Xbox ID showcase and they had a minute-long trailer for the audience. The trailer introduces 4 new Pals that are going to be introduced to the game in the next update. These include a Toad holding a stick, a Turkey with earth-bending powers, a mysterious creature with a Ronin cap, and a cute dinosaur with a mushroom top on his head and tail.
On top of that, two new weapons were also teased during the trailer. The first weapon was a flamethrower, we also got to see it in action, spewing its embers on the Pals in the vicinity. The second weapon was a type of rifle that was shooting what seemed like plasma bullets.

Palword’s playtime stats
The new pals and more weapons will help bring more players along with the already announced Arena Pal PvP mode. Moreover, Palworld isn’t lacking in playtime in any means as one of their recent posts on X (formerly Twitter) states that within 100 days of release, Palworld players have racked up 1.3 billion hours of playtime, which comes to roughly 150,000 years. The developers have assured players that they will be adding new content periodically and the latest announcement does help maintain the player’s trust. We will learn more about this update once it arrives, at the moment no release window has been provided.
