Modern Warfare 3 ‘DEV ERROR 5433’ being investigated after Season 3 Reloaded launches

Activision is working on fixes for a couple of Modern Warfare 3 issues that have emerged since today’s big mid-season update was released.

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 3 Reloaded launched at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST across all platforms, adding fresh multiplayer maps and modes, the next story mission for Zombies, and the Specialist Perk Package in Warzone, among other features.

It also introduced a number of issues, most notably one that “causes some PlayStation platform players to encounter DEV ERROR 5433”.

“While we work to resolve the cause of this issue, players are encouraged to decrease the Allocated Texture Cache Size option to Medium or Small,” Activision said.

“You can find this option in Settings > Graphics > On-Demand Texture Streaming (expanded).”

Season 3 Reloaded patch notes for Modern Warfare 3 and Zombies can be found here, while the latest Warzone patch notes are available here.

Activision has also acknowledged an issue causing auto tactical sprint to interrupt attempts to reload a weapon.

Activision is reportedly planning to reveal the next Call of Duty game in a live stream following the Xbox Summer Showcase on June 9, with the publisher said to be targeting a late October release for the title.

It been claimed that this year’s Call of Duty is a new Black Ops game set in the early 1990s during the Gulf War, with development being led by Treyarch.
