Microsoft Rewards Hub adds weekly console bonus streak
The new weekly console bonus streak in the Microsoft Rewards Hub on Xbox consoles can be found within the dedicated tab when looking at your Profile, and can be tracked using the Xbox PC and mobile apps as well. The streak requires you to play any Xbox game on console on five separate days, stacking with the ‘play a game on console’ daily activity, and will reset on Mondays. When completing your streak you’ll earn 250 Microsoft Rewards Points, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will earn an additional 25 points.
While it’s currently unclear if the weekly console bonus will include more bonus points at periodic intervals like the Microsoft Rewards app, this feels like a step in the right direction. According to Microsoft, the changes to the Rewards system are in response to “player feedback,” and as part of the new system, Microsoft is “recalibrating” its Rewards points system and is “updating the kinds of activities players can participate in to earn rewards so that more players will enjoy and benefit from the program.”
As it stands today, the following daily activities are available in the Microsoft Rewards Hub on Xbox consoles, mobile, and PC alongside the Xbox Game Pass Quests:
Activity | Requirement | Microsoft Rewards Points |
Play a game on console | Play any game on console with your Xbox account | 10 points |
Play Jewel in the Xbox app for mobile | Complete one Jewel level in the Xbox app for mobile | 5 points |
Use the Xbox app for mobile | Sign in to the Xbox app for mobile | 5 points |
Play a PC game | Play a PC game with your Xbox account | 20 points |
Weekly console bonus: play five days this week and collect your bonus 250 points (275 points for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members).
The last year has been fairly turbulent for Microsoft Rewards users due to a host of changes to the program, many of which have devalued the service. Hopefully, the upcoming changes for the Rewards Hub will return it to a worthwhile activity for Xbox players.
Thank you, everyone, for your news tips!
