Insomniac Games Fixes Classic Suit Variants Bug

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the sequel to Insomniac Games’ hit superhero game, was experiencing a bug which was stopping players from accessing the Classic Suit variants. With the latest patch, that issue has been fixed.

The latest update (version 1.002.004) fixed an issue that was spotted last week by Reddit users (via Gamespot). They noticed that a previous patch mistakenly removed the Classic Suits variants. While the variant’s icon was displayed on the bottom left of the screen, the suits were not selectable as the suit preview only showed the main suit across all options.

This issue arose from last week’s update version 1.0002.003 which was meant to fix stability issues and bugs that had been reported by the community. The reported bugs included instances where masks and lenses on some suits were looking wavy and there were also reports that Peter’s Iron Spider suit would somehow have an orb of light appear on it. While these issues were fixed, a new bug arose from it, but thankfully, it has now been fixed.

These periodic patches have arrived after Insomniac Games released a major update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on March 7. That update introduced a new game plus mode, ultimate levels, new gadgets, mission replay, and more features.

The unintended bug was not the only thing spoiling the party, as the patch also accidentally revealed a development menu of the game which revealed an upcoming DLC for the game. Reddit users discovered a new menu called the Beetle Villain arc which is most likely a reference to Janice Lincoln, daughter of Tombstone.
