Fortnite Has Banned Yoda Gear Pack Along with Other Star Wars Cosmetics Due to Game Crashing Glitch

Since the very beginning of May 2024, it has been Star Wars season in Fortnite. The collaboration spans across 3 modes of Fortnite including Battle Royale, LEGO, and Fortnite Festival. The collaboration included elements from the Star Wars franchise such as weapons, cosmetic items, world changes and more. However, the cosmetics section of the collaboration seems to be creating a problem in the game, which is why the devs have banned them for the time being, learn more below.

Fortnite bans Yoda Gear Pack due to game crashing glitch

It seems the issue is being caused by the Yoda Gear Pack cosmetic that was introduced during the update. Players who are using the emote ‘Zoidberg Scuttle’ while wearing the back bling are experiencing their game crash entirely. As soon as the player starts dancing through the emote, Yoda’s face on the back bling starts glitching out, which causes the game to crash. You can see the glitch in action in iFireMonkey’s video below.

As soon as the glitch started occurring the players made the developers aware of it, and the Fortnite Status account acknowledged the game crashing issue and stated that they would be investigating the problem and providing an update soon. Soon after they released a follow-up tweet stating that they would be temporarily disabling the Yoda Back Bling along with the Disassembled C-3PO and Dagobah Luke cosmetics until they come up with a fix.

At the moment the issue seems to be only with these cosmetics, other items and elements in the game seem to be working perfectly fine. Epic is known to patch these issues soon and it is only a matter of time before the fix arrives.
