Elden Ring ‘Return to Grace Video Contest’ Announced

Bandai Namco has announced a new ‘Return to Grace Video Contest’ ahead of the release of the Elden Ring DLC called Shadow of the Erdtree. The competition will reward the winners with a 10-foot statue of Messmer the Impaler. Players have to create their own Elden Ring trailer in this competition and the best of the best from the submissions will go on to reap the rewards.

There are other rewards too, as some award category winners will receive a life-sized replica of Malenia’s golden prosthetic right arm to show off. This is the same Melania arm that costs almost $400 that was recently revealed and is currently up for pre-orders at the Bandai Namco Store. Those unwilling to spill that cash and are willing to put their creativity to test can win this showcase piece instead by taking part in this competition. There is also a helmet of Messemer The Impaler up for grabs.

The fan-made trailer has to be under 5 minutes and creators have to make sure that the trailer “commemorates your experience” in Elden Ring. There are several award categories including Best Trailer, Best Narrative, and more.

Here are all the award categories:

  • Best Trailer
  • Best Narrative
  • Best Action
  • Best Direction
  • Best Comedy
  • Best Use of Sound
  • Best Armor Design
  • Most Original use of Elden Ring

Sadly, this contest is only open to US residents who must upload the trailer on YouTube in order to be eligible for the contest. Eligible contestants can submit their trailers on the official contest page.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion will be released on June 21, 2024, fo PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki has already announced that this will be the first and last DLC for Elden Ring.
