Assassin’s Creed Mirage Devs Have Ideas on How to ‘Extend the Story of Basim’

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest instalment to the Ubisoft stealth-action series and they recently released a free trial for the game across all platforms, that lets you check out the first 2 hours of Basim’s Story. This was followed by an Ask Me Anything or AMA session on the r/assassinscreed subreddit where devs answered all the questions the fans had. Interestingly, the game director of Assassin’s Creed Mirage stated that the team had ideas about extending Basim’s story, learn more below.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Devs Talk About Extending Basim’s Story

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s creative director Stephane Boudon and art director, Jean-Luc Sala were a part of this AMA session. One of the fans asked them whether there were any plans to make a new DLC storyline for the game, “considering how well it was received by the community”.

Boudon replied to the question stating that they are thrilled by the reception, however, Mirage was designed “as a standalone experience without any DLC plan”. Boudon did spark some hope when he added stating that the team has “ideas” on how they could “extend the story of Basim”, but no post-launch content is planned for the game. Many players feel that Basim could appear in one of the future games of the series due to this comment.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Devs Tease Other Features

During the same AMA Session, spotted by Insider Gaming, the devs also spoke about adding new features to the game. Boudon replied to a question stating that have loved the videos the community has been creating through the abilities in the game and they would’ve loved to introduce a way for players to “create their own challenges and their own contracts and be able to share them in-game.” That does sound like a fun feature to have in a game like Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
